The Holocaust is a classic example of institutionalized racism which led to the death of millions of people based on race. While the concepts of race and ethnicity are considered to be separate in contemporary social science, the two terms have a long history of equivalence in both popular usage and older social science literature. In the movie Remember The Titans was about blacks trying to play football with an all American team. The white team mates would be races towards the blacks.
